Professor David L. Gould teaches something a bit different than the usual math or English class: Life Design!
"[You have] 2 million minutes from the time you enter the university to the time you leave. What are you going to do with that?" Gould asks students.
The course is designed to help students answer how students can use their education to find passion and meaning in their post-graduate lives.
Part of the course reading is "Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion and Purpose" and during the Delivering Happiness Inspire and Be Inspired Bus Tour, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh and CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness Jenn Lim paid a visit to the Life Design students.
Jenn explained that students shouldn't be afraid of failure or trying multiple things before arriving at their passions.
"It's not answering the question 'What do I want to do?' as much as 'What don't I want to do?'" she explained.
Our friend Ashton Kutcher also stopped by to offer some wisdom, telling students, "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. If I ever set it in stone, I would be missing out on so many opportunities because I haven't stopped learning."
