How do you protect and maintain your company’s unique culture, even in the midst of acquisition? The Delivering Happiness Team visited Honest Tea to see how they were handling the process.

Seth Goldman, President and TEO (Tea Executive Officer) explains Honest Tea has looked closely at its core values and challenged the team to ask itself “What are the key elements of Honest Tea we need to protect as we grow?”

Zappos CEO and author of Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profit, Passion, and Purpose Tony Hsieh suggests a similar thought process was used when Amazon acquired Zappos.

“We wanted to remain independent and continue to grow our brand, culture and way of doing business."

He also suggests, “Scaling culture is everyone’s job and responsibility.”
