Delivering Happiness visited TOMS, a company that spreads happiness with a “One for One” philosophy. For every pair of shoes sold, TOMS gives a new pair of shoes to a child in need and for every pair of sunglasses sold, the company provides glasses or eye care services for a child in need.
TOMS employees find fulfillment in making a difference and being a part of a inspirational movement.
“The reason we have been able to grow and grow successfully is that we attract the most amazing employees, “ explains Blake Mycoskie, Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS. “And the reason they come is that they get to be part of something bigger then themselves.”
And big it is! TOMS donated its millionth pair of shoes last September and has far surpassed that number since.
